EASA was founded in 1938 with the aim of promoting and commercializing local production of agri­­cul­­tu­­ral pro­ducts of its mem­­bers. It currently includes the 32 main cooperatives in the region of Argolis. In to­tal EASA represents around 5,000 far­mers who produce fresh fruit, mainly citrus. EASA provides con­sul­tancy, training and certification services to its mem­bers. Also, it develops industrial activity by pro­ces­sing fruit and commercializing products for final consumption and industrial use as concentrated juices.

COTR in a non-profit organization created in 1999 with the main goal to help the conversion of a big rain­fed agriculture area in Alentejo region to irrigation. For this, irrigation water management and irrigation tech­nology are the main activity areas and its related knowledge. This knowledge and technologies are transferred to the farmers as the main water users. COTR members include departments of Mi­nis­try of Agriculture, Sea, Environment and Regional Planning, universities, cooperative and farmers asso­ciations, water users as­so­ciations, irrigation contractors, and other services companies.

EPAP has been producing fruit since 1980. His business activities are related to the production of man­da­rins and oranges but also tomatoes and cucumbers. All the cultivated area is irrigated by means of drip irrigation systems.
